Shearwater

 

BC Ferries Discovery Coast Passage service stops at many scenic ports including Shearwater. The current town site was developed as an anti-submarine bomber reconnaissance unit in 1941, but disbanded in 1944. It has now become full-service marina and fishing resort with lodgings, fishing-charter operators, moorage for pleasure boaters, a small store and post office.
