In the village, there’s a huge cedar longhouse facing the beach, with a dogfish totem carved by the famous Bill Reid. Visit the many carvers who make stunning creations with argillite, silver and gold, or the excellent café and gift shop. There’s also a museum where you can explore Haida history, totem poles and pioneer settlements, along with a natural history gallery with birds, mammals and fossils.
