Explore the Wild Pacific Trail, enjoy the miles of beaches, surf or take in the majesty of Pacific Rim National Park. A short drive north to Tofino opens up even more opportunity for fun and discovery. Spend a day enjoying Tofino’s funky cafés, shops and fine-dining eateries or head out on a thrilling Hot Springs and Whale Watching Explorer Tour boat ride across Clayoquot Sound. Whether you’re in search of wilderness or just some wild waves to ride, the Pacific Rim has it all.

Tour Details:

Day 1: Vancouver to Ucluelet

Start with a scenic, 90-minute cruise across the Strait of Georgia to the shores of Vancouver Island and the city of Nanaimo. On arrival in Nanaimo, begin the picturesque drive to Ucluelet, where you can choose to visit Parksville and Qualicum Beach along the way, as well as a stop to enjoy the beautiful Cathedral Grove MacMillan Provincial Park where trails on either side of the highway lead through stands of giant Douglas fir trees. When you arrive in Ucluelet and check in for your two night stay at Black Rock Oceanfront Resort, you will be treated to a $25 restaurant credit to be used at either the Fetch restaurant or Float Lounge. We highly recommend collecting a trail map from the front desk and using your restaurant credit towards a boxed lunch for an amazing day out on the trails, or relaxing in the welcoming lounge.

Day 2: Ucluelet
Spend the day exploring Ucluelet and the surrounding area. You can take the Wild Pacific Trail running through the property and the rugged cliffs and shoreline of the west coast of Vancouver Island. Divided into three sections - Lighthouse Loop, Big Beach and Brown's Beach - the trail gives hikers unforgettable views of the ocean’s fury and outer reefs pounded by ocean swells. Visit the surfing town of Tofino and stop in the Pacific Rim National Park for a stroll and some unforgettable photos, or simply relax and enjoy the coastal life of Ucluelet.

Day 3: Ucluelet to Vancouver
In the afternoon, begin your journey back to Vancouver. If time allows, venture over to Long Beach to discovery some of its 16 kilometres of sandy beach and an opportunity to watch the surf.
