Cape Mudge Quadra Island 2 nights

Cape Mudge Resort, located on the southern tip of Quadra Island, is secluded but not remote. Set in an 1,100-acre oceanfront forest, the resort`s dramatic Pacific Coast Kwagiulth architecture embodies the spirit of Quadra Island. All guest rooms and cottages have deluxe ocean views of Discovery Passage and the mountains of Vancouver Island.

After a short BC Ferries voyage from Campbell River, you arrive on Quadra Island, which offers both relaxation and stimulation in many forms. You can gaze at the breathtaking scenery and enjoy the slower pace of life and serene coastal settings. And you can be invigorated by the wide variety of outdoor exploits such as hiking, wildlife viewing, diving, mountain biking and sea kayaking. The intricate shoreline makes it a superb island to explore. You can also experience what makes the island an artists` haven, and visit artists, artisans and craftspeople in their studios year-round, or visit the galleries around the island to see more of their works. And you can get a glimpse of native Kwagiulth culture at the Nuyumbalees Cultural Centre.

Ferry: Campbell River (Campbell River) to Quadra Island (Quadra Island)

Staying at:
#1 Lighthouse Road, Quathiaski Cove, BC, Canada, V0P 1N0

Or, for a faster but less scenic route, you can take the Island Highway (Highway 19) to Campbell River. If you like, visit the sandy beachfront communities of Parksville and Qualicum Beach and explore Campbell River and the Comox Valley. In Campbell River, take your second sailing of the day across Discovery Passage to Quadra Island. This 10-minute sailing brings you into Quathiaski Cove, and from here you can follow the small red roadside signs to the Cape Mudge Resort. Arrive at your leisure and check in for your two-night stay, where you can enjoy seclusion of this 445-hectare (1,100 acre) waterfront property.
