Day 1

Day 1 - Vancouver to Courtenay

Ferry: West Vancouver (Horseshoe Bay) to Nanaimo (Departure Bay)

In the morning, make your way north towards the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal for a scenic 100-minute BC Ferries voyage. On arrival at the Departure Bay terminal, you’ll continue your journey north almost to Courtenay, where you can spend the rest of the day at the resort, enjoying the array of amenities, including complimentary use of the spa’s pools, whirlpool, sauna, steam cave and full fitness facilities.

Day 2

Day 2 - A day of beaches and culture

Today, you can explore the beaches or visit some of the entertaining attractions in the area. Explore history’s riches at the Courtenay and District Museum & Palaeontology Centre, where you can discover the remains of an 80-million-year-old elasmosaur. At the Comox Air Force Museum, you can see many military artifacts, along with a Czech Air Force MiG-21 “Fishbed-J”. In the winter, the Comox Valley is a skier’s haven, with many kilometres of cross-country terrain and Mount Washington, the island’s largest ski hill, with runs for skiers and boarders, and a tube park. You can also go fishing, hiking, mountain biking or kayaking, or you can check out the area’s wineries.

Day 3

Day 3 - Courtenay to Vancouver

Ferry: Nanaimo (Departure Bay) to West Vancouver (Horseshoe Bay)

Allow plenty of time for your return journey to Vancouver so you can stop en route at the many attractions in the surrounding communities. Then from Nanaimo, take a 100-minute BC Ferries journey back to Horseshoe Bay.
